Psalm 100

Happy New Years Eve!!

The end of this day brings the end to another year.

Today also brings an end to the E-Votionals. Well, it brings an end to the E-Votionals as we have known them.

While I’m still not exactly clear what new thing God wants to do through me, I am clear that it’s time to conclude this specific ministry. I will wait for God’s leading me to the next thing. If you have signed up to follow me on my blog, you will get an alert the next time I post.

I end with the 100th Psalm. While this Psalm is not a prescribed lectionary reading for this day, it’s the one I chose. I think I most like it because it’s one of the first scriptures I was to memorize in Sunday School.

Psalm 100 is a psalm of rejoicing and I rejoice that God formed this ministry and blessed it in wonderful ways. I have met so many people from all around the world and some of the stories the readers have shared with me have been amazing. They truly have blessed me.

Over the years we have prayed for so many and the power of that prayer has been mightily felt by so many.

I will take some weeks to listen to God’s leading to the new ministry God has in store for me and for each of us.

For this day, for this year, for the almost 19 years of the Evotionals, I make a joyful noise to God…. for God is Good. All the Time.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
    Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come into his presence with singing.

Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he that made us, and we are his;
    we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    and his courts with praise.
    Give thanks to him, bless his name.

For the Lord is good;
    his steadfast love endures forever,
    and his faithfulness to all generations.

We give you thanks, O God, for the new things you do within each of us. We trust you will lead us into the new year with direction and purpose and a song upon our hearts.
We lift up to you all those who read your Word and are led by its’ truth. We pray for those who are hurting in mind, in body, in spirit. We ask your presence to surround each and guide our hearts into service you each day.
May you guide each of us to be bold and share your Word with others. Amen.
Your E-Votional Servant
